The German premiere of the elegantly unassuming “Collection Biedermeier” with its charming forms without superfluous decorations proved itself to the public at this year's Internorga. The approachable, discreet forms of Biedermeier furniture have the effect of understatement, like a pause, like a reflection upon handcrafted expertise, beauty of materials, and security of forms. The room with its timelessly classic line was staged in such an unmistakable, atmospheric way that it immediately found a new home in the Hamburg hotel “Das Smolka”.
The “Napoli Collection” in the new SELVA finish was not just conceived as the second tradeshow stand room for Internorga 2013. Along with Bellmann Interior, the stand partner at Internorga for many years, it was presented as a model room for the new “Kammerspeicher” hotel in Neustrelitz by the family proprietors. The hotel is being built in a former granary that is under historical preservation right at the port and will be inaugurated in October 2013 as a four-star establishment. The fabric mix of flowers and checks in maritime hues in a successful combination with decorative elements and accessories underscores the new “shabby chic” look of the “Napoli Collection” in a masterful form.
